Looking for a creative way to spend your Saturdays?
Drop into our studio for a relaxed, hands-on pottery painting experience -
no booking needed!
We're opening our doors every Saturday from 10:00am to 5:30pm for easygoing, two-hour
painting sessions. Just walk in, pick your piece, and get started. We'll have a range of pre-made ceramics ready for you to bring to life using beautiful underglazes
- perfect for all skill levels.
There's a £10 studio fee, plus the cost of your chosen piece (prices vary),
and everything you need is included.
Open to adults and young creatives aged 6 - 17 (with a supervising adult), this is the perfect laid back activity for friends, families, or a little solo creative time.
Come paint, relax, and make something truly yours this summer!
THE MONTHLY MUD THROWDOWN
£50 p.p
Sunday 10th January (2:00 - 4:00pm)
Each two-hour experience begins with a relaxed 15-minute live demonstration from our experienced tutor, introducing you to the essential techniques and setting you up for a fun and rewarding session. Then it’s your turn to get on the wheel! You’ll have plenty of time to practise the basics, experiment with shaping your clay and get a feel for the wheel, with our tutor on hand throughout the session to offer step-by-step guidance and support.
We’ll finish with a short 15-minute clean-up, giving everyone time to reset the studio together and admire what they’ve made.
Come get a little muddy with us and discover the joy of wheel throwing!
Adults only.
Participants may keep one piece per person. Any additional pieces will be charged at £10 per piece.

This Halloween, get creative with clay, wine and a little spooky magic
at our Twickenham studio! 🎃
Join us for a special two-hour wheel-throwing experience in a dark and atmospheric studio. You’ll have your own pottery wheel and be guided by a professional tutor with a short demonstration before getting hands-on. Create your own pieces and give them a Halloween twist using black, red and orange coloured slips. Add textures, fingerprints and personal details to make each piece your own.
Enjoy a glass of wine, spooky music and a fun, atmospheric setting while you create.
You’ll be able to take home up to two of your finished pieces once they’ve been glazed and fired. Pieces will be ready for collection within 4 weeks.
Firing, in-house glaze, coloured slips, aprons and all materials are included.
No experience needed - just come ready to get your hands dirty!

ILLUSTRATED CERAMICS with HELEN BEARD
PORCELAIN AND STONEWARE SURFACE DESIGN WORKSHOP

Join ceramic artist Helen Beard for a full day of creativity exploring surface decoration on porcelain and stoneware. Through a mix of talks, demonstrations, and hands-on making, you’ll learn how to bring narrative and design to your ceramic work.
Morning Session:
We’ll begin with a short talk introducing illustrated ceramics, surface decoration techniques, and storytelling through clay.
Helen will demonstrate her unique relief printing method using underglaze-stained papers on wet and bisque clay. You’ll then experiment in your sketchbooks with relief printing, underglaze papers and blue carbon copy paper, before preparing your own relief print paper using underglaze stains and glycerin on newsprint.
We’ll explore underglaze colour charts and colour mixing, then sketch designs onto bisque pieces and prepare stencils and colour strips ready for the afternoon.
We’ll then pause for a one-hour lunch break before continuing with the afternoon session.
Afternoon Session:
Helen will demonstrate hand-painting, colour washes, stenciling and dipping, using her special stain-impregnated papers alongside textiles and natural materials to create layered surface patterns.
You’ll then experiment with the techniques before creating your finished porcelain tile and stoneware bowl.
To finish, Helen will demonstrate waxing, dip glazing and final clean-up, leaving your pieces ready for their glaze firing and giving you plenty of new techniques and inspiration to take into your own ceramic practice

Helen Beard is a potter and illustrator who brings her love of drawing, watercolour, and storytelling into her ceramics. Inspired by everyday life and local scenes - from swimmers at the Ponds to market traders at Columbia Road - her work captures small, whimsical moments through characterful designs and hand-drawn details.
The Workshop is open to all levels, with all materials included, including one porcelain tile and one stoneware bowl, plus firing for up to two pieces per person.

NESTING DOLLS: EASTERN EUROPEAN FOLK ART AND BUBBLES

Start the New Year with an afternoon of folk art, colour and bubbles!
Come along for a relaxed 2-hour painting workshop inspired by the rich folk-art traditions of Eastern Europe. You’ll be given a pre-made nesting doll-shaped ceramic piece to paint and decorate using colourful ceramic underglazes, with inspiration from traditional patterns, flowers and folk motifs - or you can create a design entirely your own.
Enjoy a glass of bubbles while you paint, chat and get creative in a relaxed, social setting.
Your finished piece will be coated in a transparent glaze and fired, ready for you to collect afterwards.
Adults only. No previous experience needed - just come along, get creative and enjoy a day of folk art, fizz and good company!

VALENTINE’S DAY COUPLES POTTERY

This Valentine’s Day, step into a warm, romantic studio and share a luxurious two-hour wheel-throwing experience for couples only at our Twickenham studio!
You and your partner will work at facing pottery wheels, guided by a professional tutor with a short demo before hands-on creating. Shape something meaningful together - or create a piece for each other, swapping pots to add personal touches like fingerprints, textures, or final shaping!
Enjoy a glass of bubbles each, gentle music, and an intimate atmosphere designed for connection, creativity, and a little indulgence.
Finish your pieces with red or black coloured slip to decorate them, then choose your favourite from two in-house glazes for the final finish. We’ll take care of the glazing and firing, and your piece will be ready for collection within 4 weeks.
No experience needed - just come, create, and celebrate love in clay!

HANDS & FEET: SCULPTING THE HUMAN FORM with GILLIAN BRETT
WORKSHOP

Come along for a 4-hour hands-on sculpture workshop focused on the shapes, proportions and details of hands and feet.
Working from a live model, you’ll sculpt hands and feet in clay while learning how to observe form, structure and movement. Gillian, will guide you through the process, sharing practical techniques to help you build your sculpture and capture the character of the pose.
A great introduction to figure sculpture, whether you’re completely new to clay or simply want to try something different!
Gillian Brett is an award winning figurative sculptor based in Chiswick. Her artistic journey takes inspiration from the human figure and culminates in beautifully finished pieces, either fired to ceramic and adorned with glazes or oxides, or cast in resin or bronze. Gillian’s work has been exhibited widely, most notably at Wales Contemporary, ING Discerning Eye, the Affordable Art Fair and a selection is currently on display at Skylark Galleries on London’s South Bank.

MOTHER’S DAY POTTERY EXPERIENCE

Mark Mother’s Day with a thoughtful and creative experience!
This special two-hour pottery wheel session offers a relaxed introduction to throwing, designed for adults and beginners and hosted in our lovely and charming Twickenham studio.
The session can be gifted as a meaningful Mother’s Day present, or booked together if you’d like to share the experience. Participants will be guided through the process of creating their own handmade piece, which will then be finished with a choice of our in-house glazes. We’ll take care of the glazing and firing, and your piece will be ready for collection within four weeks
A complimentary glass of bubbles will be served during the session, and all work will be glazed and fired and ready to collect within four weeks.
