trimming, hand-building techniques that include pinching, coiling, press moulding and slab-building, whilst texturing, engraving and finishing all your pieces, which you will then glaze with your selection from our 15 glazes!

Mark Mother’s Day with a thoughtful and creative experience! 

 

This special two-hour pottery wheel session offers a relaxed introduction to throwing, designed for adults and beginners and hosted in our lovely and charming

Hammersmith studio.

​

The session can be gifted as a meaningful Mother’s Day present, or booked together

if you’d like to share the experience. Participants will be guided through the process

of creating a handmade piece, which can be decorated with underglazes or finished with a choice of our in-house glazes. 

 

A complimentary glass of bubbles will be served during the session, and all work will be glazed and fired and ready to collect within four weeks.

THROWING PORCELAIN and ABSTRACT DESIGNS with TOM KEMP

A two-day masterclass for potters confident on the wheel.

Day 1 focuses on throwing porcelain forms following three important techniques used to make the most of this translucent clay.

On Day 2, you’ll refine your pieces and explore Tom Kemp’s approach to abstract slip decoration - translating movement, rhythm, and gesture into surface design.
